Hi, I’m Atlas! If you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the internet, I can only hope you’ve brought your appetite. I’ve been watching K-dramas (and C-dramas and J-dramas) for close to eighteen years, so I know how hungry fans can get for a good Korean drama. It’s a craving that only people who’ve experienced it will understand. The same goes for trying to find a positive, healthy community to obsess over dramas with. It’s a hunger I haven’t been able to satiate for decades, so I decided to create “Kimbap and K-dramas”. Here we’ll review and dissect our favorite Korean dramas and actors, and build a warm community free of hate, fanwars, and negativity.
Now a little more about me. In addition to watching K-dramas and movies, I love to write. I penned my first novel at the wise age of ten. (It shall stay in the shadows). And I’ve written for some popular K-drama blogs and streaming companies you may have heard of. Traveling is another thing I’m passionate about. I’ve been to Korea (twice), Japan, Colombia, and parts of Europe. My favorite activity to do abroad is…eat! I almost started a food blog called “Tummy Travels”. You’ll find me wherever there’s good food and music.
With that said, I’m looking forward to creating and sharing this space with all of you. The website will focus on Korean dramas and movies, but I want us to be able to talk about anything, including our latest hyperfixations. I’m going to have a special section on the website for those…

The first drama I plan to review is Dear X. It stars the truly versatile Kim Yoo Jung, Kim Young Dae, and Kim Do Hoon. The drama’s about Baek Ah Jin (Kim Yoo Jung), a young girl who grows up in a violent household. If that isn’t dark enough, Baek Ah Jin seems sweet and good-natured, but when threatened certain sociopathic tendencies come out. Her dream is to become a famous actress, and she’ll do anything to make it happen even if it means manipulating her childhood friend/stepbrother Yoon Jun Seo (Kim Young Dae) or Kim Jae Oh (Kim Do Hoon), a man who vows to be useful to her.
Oooh, it sounds juicy. The first four episodes aired November 6, 2025, and are available to stream on Viki. I’m going to binge them right now. I’ll be back with my thoughts. I have high expectations because Kim Yoo Jung’s a great actress and Kim Young Dae is improving (and nice to look at). Can’t wait to chat!
